A Financial Advisor since 2006, John strives to earn and retain the trust and confidence of his clients, providing prudent recommendations that position them to achieve their financial goals. He specializes in preparing, implementing, and monitoring tailored Retirement Cash Flow Plans. Services that form the core of his client relationships are:

- Research and selection of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), stocks, and bonds.
- Management of individual retirement accounts and rollover advising.
- Funding of trusts and implementation of college savings plans.
- Designing tax-aware investment strategies,
- Assessment of insurance needs (life and Long-Term Care)
- Consideration of guaranteed income through Annuity Contracts.
Prior to joining the Port Wealth Management team, John has enjoyed advising clients with Rockland Trust, Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors, Salem Five, and Bank of America (merged into Merrill Lynch in 2009). Before his investment career, he worked nine years in banking and finance at Citizens Bank, Paychex, and American International Group. His first jobs after college were in corporate training and retail sales where he helped teach Dale Carnegie classes and worked his way up to the position of Lead Buyer at Nordstrom.
John graduated from Duke University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and concentrations in Management Sciences, Spanish, and Archaeology. After graduating, he studied Securities Analysis at the New York Institute of Finance. He and his wife live and raised their daughters in Marblehead where he has been a Rotarian and served as a Deacon and Music Committee Treasurer at Old North Church. Enjoying the outdoors with family and friends - boating, skiing, hiking, surfing, and paddle tennis - is where you will likely find John when it’s play time.
