Pat graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1995. He gained his FINRA Series 7 securities registrations (currently held through Commonwealth Financial Network®) and industry experience in various professional positions and then decided to start a financial advisory practice in 2002. Early in his career, Pat recognized the need for advanced education and knowledge when constructing portfolios, so he undertook a three-year course of study focused on investment knowledge, the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) program. He attained his CFA® designation in 2004, something that fewer than 5 percent of financial advisors have achieved.

Pat partners with his clients in many ways. He has set up 529 plans and helped parents draw down the tax-free savings to pay for college; help created lifetime income streams for newly retired couples; used his knowledge and experience to construct and manage investment portfolios aiming to achieve positive returns without undue risk; and reduced taxes for business owners by establishing their corporate retirement plans. Pat guides his clients throughout many years toward the realization of their life's goals, whatever they may be. He brings focus and enthusiasm to the task of managing and protecting client’s hard-earned financial resources.

Pat resides in Newburyport with his wife, Nancy, and two children, Emily (21) and Colin (18). He enjoys spending time with family and friends, whether it's visiting his kids in college, relaxing at the beach, golfing, or mountain biking. When winter rolls around, they retreat to their family home in Sun Valley, Idaho, for skiing, snowshoeing, and embracing the mountain lifestyle. Pat has also been collecting wine for close to 20 years. His current favorites are Sonoma Pinot Noirs, but he’s still waiting for the right moment to open his prized bottle – a 2014 Shafer Hillside Select. Pat is always interested in discussing wine recommendations with clients and fellow enthusiasts.
