Sheila has always believed that financial planning is about more than just numbers—it’s about people, relationships, and the transitions that shape their lives. With a deep understanding of both the practical and emotional complexities of major life changes, Sheila approaches her work with empathy and connection. She helps clients navigate everything from retirement and estate planning to the challenges of caring for aging parents or managing a divorce, always providing steady guidance through life’s uncertainties.
A longtime resident of Newburyport, Sheila and her husband, Kevin, cherish time with their children and grandchildren, whether that means visits to San Diego, where her stepson Derek and his husband Franco live, or to Denmark, where her daughter Carly manages one of the country’s largest urban farms.
Her son, Evan, joined Sheila’s practice in 2022 as a financial advisor and she loves mentoring him and working together every day. Evan and his wife Harriet live in Jersey City with their two young children, Benson and Josephine, who are a constant source of joy, and Sheila loves watching them grow.
Travel has always been a way for her to connect with loved ones—whether exploring Copenhagen’s food scene with Carly or attending a wedding in India or pool time with grandkids in Florida.
Outside of work and family, Sheila prioritizes her health and well-being. An avid pickleball player, she also enjoys biking, weightlifting, and her newest routines—cold-water immersion and infrared sauna sessions. At 61, she’s more committed than ever to staying active and engaged in life.
Sheila believes her clients appreciate her not just as a financial advisor, but as a trusted partner in navigating life’s big decisions. From helping untangle foreign pensions to accompanying clients to critical meetings, she always applies a hands-on, caring approach. With a graduate degree in psychology and her CFP® certification, she brings a thoughtful perspective to the often emotional conversations surrounding financial planning. Her personal experience caring for her father has also given her a deep understanding of long-term care and the challenges families face.
When she’s not working or traveling, Sheila enjoys reading, spending summer days on her pontoon boat, and volunteering with Hospice of Florida. She’s a member of her Smith College Alumnae Association and prioritizes time with her female advisors' study group to share best practices and mentor women in the business.
